Think all snowmobile trips are the same? Think again. Lofty Peaks Adventures LLC, in conjunction with Snowbird Ski Resort, has put together a guided snowmobile tour that is unlike anything else on earth or snow. This truly unique snowmobiling experience, located at the world renowned resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon, is just 20 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and the only snowmobiling area that can be accessed on the Salt Lake side of the Wasatch Mountains.

Damage Agreements: Damage agreements help protect our guests from being fully responsible for damaged equipment. Call for more information.
Guests must arrive at Snowbird Activity Center 60 min. before departure for check-in and tram ride.Guests needing clothing should add 15 min. to check-in time to allow for dressing. Drivers must be at least 16 years old and passengers should be at least 4 years old.
Tours include: Miles and miles of groomed trails, open play in the meadows and powder filled bowls, 100-mile views from the ridge-tops, easy operation instruction (first five minutes of tour), professional and friendly guides with first aid and CPR qualifications.
Drivers: Utah State Law requires all drivers to be 16 yrs old or older with a valid driver’s license.
Clothing: Helmets are provided; please bring your own goggles or sunglasses. Ski clothing with gloves, snow boots and eye protection are generally all that’s needed – No ski boots. Rental clothing is available – Suit ($5), boots ($3), and gloves ($3) or combination of suit, boots and gloves ($10).
Reservations: Should be made in advance, but same-day reservations are often available. Call with name, credit card number, number of snowmobiles, and tour time desired.
Location: Lofty Peaks at Snowbird is located at Snowbird Ski Resort a short, scenic 20 minute ride from most anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley. Your adventure starts with ride on the world famous Snowbird Tram to the 11,000 ft. summit of Hidden Peak where you will swear you are on top of the world. With over 100,000 acres of incredible riding and phenomenal views from the highest elevation snowmobile starting point in North America, our snowmobiling and scenery are second to none.
Directions: From the southeast corner of the I-215 belt loop, follow the signs to Snowbird Ski Resort and check-in at the Activity Center on level 3 in Snowbird Center (right next to the tram ticket windows).
Cancellations: A $50 fee per snowmobile is charged if cancellation is made between 12 and 48 hours of reservation time. Same day cancellations and/or no shows will be charges full price. Groups of 10 or more must guarantee total number snowmobiles 72 hours in advance. DEPARTURE TIMES ARE MANDATED TO COORDINATE WITH LIFT OPERATIONS AT SNOWBIRD, THEREFORE WE MUST RUN ON TIME! IF YOU MISS YOUR DEPARTURE TIME AND CAN NOT RE-SCHEDULE YOU WILL BE CHARGED IN FULL FOR THE RENTAL!

The Complete Snowmobiling Experience
All of the snowmobile tours at Lofty Peaks include trekking across miles of groomed trails, fun “playtime” for the whole group in beautiful meadows, and 100-mile views from ridge tops. Tours include easy-to-understand operating instructions given by our guides during the first five minutes of the tour. Our guides are professional, friendly, and certified in first aid and CPR, so you’re guaranteed to have a fun, safe, and memorable experience.
Proper attire for snowmobiling is very important. You’ll need goggles or sunglasses and general ski clothing with snow boots and gloves. Lofty Peaks provides all riders with helmets, and we do offer clothing for an additional rental fee. Be sure to allow extra time to check-in if you need to rent gear.
