Farewell to Winter with a Final Snowmobile Ride into Spring

As the season transitions from winter to spring, we are capturing the last few precious days in the snowcapped mountains. The winter ski season at Salt Lake City, Park City, and surrounding areas ends mid-April with the closing of many ski resorts. At Lofty Peaks Adventures LLC, we are taking this opportunity to savor snowmobiling throughout the Wasatch Mountains. Come and join us for the farewell tour to close out the ski season.

Springtime in Utah

Wonderful Weather

The shift in season means the sun is out and the snow is primed for adventure. The increased sun exposure changes the outdoor conditions and texture of the snow. Pack your sunglasses, and plan your snow outing locations according to the direction of the sun; starting east and south allows the sun to soften the snow, making for a great spring ride. As the season winds down, so do the crowds, making your rides even easier.

Olympic Ovation

In addition to snowmobile rides, skiing, snowshoeing, and snowboarding, you've got to check out the elite athletes practicing at Olympic Park. This U.S. Olympic training and competition site is open to the public and always has impressive pro-athlete action for audiences of all ages. You're still inspired by the Winter Olympics 2018, so it's time to explore Olympic history at the Alf Engen Ski History Museum and 202 Eccles Winter Olympic Museum before racing down the Comet Bobsled track.

Wilderness Whimsy

Regardless of the activity, there's nothing more stunning than the beauty of nature as the season changes. As the snow melts with increased temperatures and sunlight, the waterfalls and streams become even more picturesque. Plan a guided or unguided snowmobile tour to explore rolling hills, wilderness, and wildlife that emerge this time of year. Be selfie-ready for some of the most breathtaking pictures you'll ever capture! Don't let winter escape without one last snowmobile tour with Lofty Peaks Adventures!
