One of the most important tips for safely riding your snowmobile is to have the right gear and equipment. Along with a helmet and warm riding gloves, you need to think about what you’re wearing. Each layer you wear should keep you warm and dry. - The base layer fits snugly and wicks moisture away from your body.
- The second layer keeps you warm when cold and can be removed when it’s too warm. Fleece is a good second layer.
- The third layer should be waterproof and also allow moisture to escape.
2. Know the Territory
Before even loading up the sled, check the weather for the day. Will it be clear skies all day or is there a storm moving in by late afternoon?
